The Rivers Road Safety Corridor Mr. Osadebamwen noted, is targeted also at ensure the availability of Road Signs and functioning Traffic Lights in the city, stressing that his command had already drawn the attention of the Rivers State Government to the non viability of these vital facilities on Port Harcourt Roads and where there are, some times not functional.
The sector commander said the idea of the programme for which he solicited the cooperation of the media and the various stakeholder to ensure its success was to ensure strict compliance and observation of traffic rules.
He said the command has already commenced the implementation of the programme on Aba Road Port Harcourt just as he appealed to the motoring public to observe traffic rules and by so doing contribute to efforts at ridding Port Harcourt of the present menace of traffic jams.
