Analyst Advises NFF To Forget 2010 World Cup
A sports analyst in Rivers State, Mr. Boniface Osilonya has advised the Nigeria Football Federation NFF) to refocus on preparations ahead of the 2014 World Cup scheduled to hold on Brazil instead of pursuing the ticket to next year’s edition in South Africa, which has been bungled.
Speaking in an exclusive internvew with Tidesports in Port Harcourt, Osilonya said that it would be a misconception for anyone to be thinking that Super Eagles would still qualify for 2010 World Cup in South Africa when it is obvious that Nigeria’s chance of qualifying lies in the hands of Tunisia, who are also in dire need of the maximum six points at stake.
“sincerely the Eagles lost their chance of qualification when they failed to beat the visiting carthage Eagles of Tunisia in the last world cup qualifying game in Abuja”, he said.
He continued that apart from the defensive blunder committed by Taye Taiwo, it was very glaring that the entire Eagles did not show enough commitment in their game compared to the visiting Tunisians who played the game of their lives.
