Aondongu Wins First Supporter’s Club MUP Award

Sharks FC, of Port Harcourt midfielder, John Aondongu was voted the most valuable player (MVP) in the club’s week two Globacom Premier League match with Warri FC on Saturday, at the Port Harcourt Liberation Stadium that ended goalless.
Aondongu, received the sum of N20,000 cash as the MVP prize from the award sponsors, Sharks Supporters Club, shortly after the match.
Speaking with Tidesports, the newly elected chairman of the Supporters Club, Minaiyo Igani said that the gesture was part of programmes lined up by the new executive, saying that the big idea was to motivate the players.
According to him, the only time you can get the best from a worker is to motivate him or her and the supporters club is determined to do its best to ensure that the players perform very well collectively.
“You see, we on our part, will do anything within our reach to ensure that Shark finish in a good position on the league table. We also believe that this would be one major means of achieving our aims and objectives,” he said.
Igani used the opportunity to appeal to the management to always co-operate with them to enable their dreams become reality, because the success of the club would be through collective efforts.
The chairman, expressed joy over the standard of play exhibited by the players and advised them to maintain them tempo.
