“No life was lost but two crew members, who were said to be involved in the accident, got some injuries and are now in the hospital after sustaining first degrees burns”, the authority stated.
LASWA stated that the fire incident was said to have occurred from the tank of one of the boats, which later affected the second boat.
The Authority gave the names of affected LAGFEERY Boatsas Lateef Jakande, and Mobolaji Johnson.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the fire began from a fuel tank of one of the boats, which later affected the other”, the authority stated, adding that “further investigations to explain the circumstances surrounding the incident is still ongoing”.
