Stakeholders Commend Wike Over Siting Of RSU Campus In Etche
Some stakeholders in Etche Local Government Area of Rivers State, have commended Governor Nyesom Wike over the flag- off of the Rivers State University Campus in the local government area.
A cross session of stakeholders, who spoke to The Tide during the flag-off ceremony in Abara Etche said the situation would boost education in Etche and other parts of the state.
The Onye-ishi Agwuru Igbo Kingdom, Eze Samuel Amaechi, described the ceremony as a dream come true.
Eze Amaechi said the legacy project of Governor Wike had shown him to be a man of the people.
The traditional ruler also commended the governor for keeping his promise to the people of Etche.
He said the Igbo Kingdom and the entire Etche Ethnic Nationality would support the contractors to ensure the timely completion of the project.
Also speaking, High Chief Emmanuel Nwaobilor, said the project would foster the economic development of the entire local government area.
Nwaobilor, who is the Eze Omezuru Oha I of Igbo Kingdom, also described Governor Wike as a promise keeper, adding that Igbo Kingdom is elated over numerous developmental projects of Governor Wike, adding that the university campus will create employment for the teeming unemployed youths in the area.
On his part, the Ochimba of Abara Community, Eze Jonah Nwala, said the community would guard against the vandalisation of facilities and other forms of criminal activities in the new campus.
Eze Nwala said the people remain grateful to Governor Wike, for bringing educational development to their domain.
On his part, the Eze Odinta Nanya of Etche Ethnic Nationality, Eze Ndubuisi Nwankwo, described the ceremony as a dream come true for Igbo Kingdom of Etche Ethnic Nationality.
He said posterity would remember Wike as the Governor who laid the foundation for the development of Etche.
