The unrelenting efforts and hard work of the men and officers of the Nigeria Police is the reason Osun State is the most peaceful state in Nigeria.
This declaration formed part of the response of the Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola during a familiarization visit of the new Assistant Inspector General in charge of Zone XI Command, Osogbo, Olasupo Babatunde Ajani, to the Government House, Oke-Fia, Osogbo.
Oyetola assured him of his support to the Nigerian Police through the provision of logistics and other necessary items when needed.
Earlier, AIG Olasupo Babatunde Ajani, had promised that his officers and men will police with the people and not policing the people of the state, adding that this was in accordance with the policing strategy of the Acting Inspector General of Police, Alkali Baba Usman.
This is as he also promised to restore the virtues of community policing and build a good synergy with other security agencies to make Osun State a safe haven.
Ajani stated that his purpose for the visit was to appreciate the governor and the citizens of the state for accommodating and supporting the Nigeria police.
