LG Polls: VGN Tasks Members On Professionalism
Following the approval by the Rivers State Police Command for members of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) to assist the police in enforcing the restriction of movement during tomorrow’s local government elections in the state, the Acting State Commander of VGN, Comrade Chukwuka Osumah, has urged members of the outfit to display a high level of professionalism and competence in the discharge of their duties to ensure a hitch-free exercise.
Osumah, who gave the charge while speaking with newsmen in Port Harcourt said the election duty is a clarion call for VGN members to prove their worth and relevance, insisting, therefore, that they cannot afford to disappoint Rivers people.
He enjoined members of the outfit across the State to discharge their duties with a high sense of efficiency and dedication to ensure peaceful, credible and hitch-free council polls in the state.
While thanking the Rivers State Police Command for the opportunity, Osumah assured that VGN would continue to partner other security agencies in the state to achieve set goals.
