According to the Governor, the theme of the Synod, “Watch and Pray” is important because of the perilous times in which we are living today, noting that there is a need to study it, adhere to it and to propagate it.
“Know that God is waiting for us, we are his agents on this earth to bring down his Kingdom from heaven to earth, we are the people and we are the ones that must go forth and shine the light, so that darkness will not be able to comprehend the light., we need to be the light at a time like this and to be the salt of the earth”, he quipped.
In his address, the Bishop, Diocese of D/Line Methodist Church, Nigeria, Rt. Rev Friday Jephthah who said the major work of the Church is to evangelise in any locality it finds itself, disclosed that the D/Line Diocese had embarked on mission work in various local government areas.
