Go Round Coaches Happy With Screening Exercise
Head coach of Go Round FC, Abiye Tamuno-Iyalla sounds a bit upbeat after rounding up a two week screening exercise ahead of the new Nigeria National League, NNL season.
Coach Abiye, as he is fondly called, superintended over the exercise and says he is happy with what he has so far.
“It was not a bad exercise. We saw some players who we believe are good enough for the league,” Abiye said.
“We have been able to see one or two that can fit into the team, we just need a few more friendly games to see them in real match situations but the screening session went well.”
As a way of kickstarting their pre-season exercise, Go Round FC, as is their usual style, opted for an open screening exercise at their Krisdera Hotel Stadium pitch and the coach of the side was able to fish out about fifteen players he thinks he should take another look at.
“We were able to get about 15 players from the screening sessions, but I will give my final approval after a few matches. Some players are good in training sessions but not in real match situations.
“After the friendly matches I will know if they are ready for the league. For now I cannot tell,” Abiye said.
