Two Nabbed For Inciting Native War In Edo
Two persons, Osasu Monday, aged 25 and Ogbe Eguagie, have been arrested for cultism and promoting native water in Edo State.
They were arrested for allegedly inciting members of Amagba, Okoroma and Obazagbon communities into native war.
The police said their action caused breakdown of law and order, destruction and vandalization of properties in the three communities and environs.
Six persons were killed at Oko-Oroma community last weekend.
Several buildings and cars were set ablaze.
Items recovered from the suspects were two pump action guns, five 7.62mm live ammunition, 20 live cartridges, 66 expended cartridges, and 35 expended 7.62mm ammunition.
Edo Police Commissioner, Jimeta Lawan, said the suspects would soon be charged to court.
