Monarch Hails Wike’s Victory
The Eze Ala Umuokobo and Paramount Ruler of Obete Ndoki in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze Peter Ubadineke Umenta has said that the re-election of Governor Nyesom Wike on March 9, 2019 governorship election was made possible because of his track records of achievements in several areas, especially in road construction and reconstruction across the state.
Eze Umenta, who made the remarks while addressing journalists at his palace said Governor Wike has every cause to win any contest no matter how many times considering his strong desire and passion to develop Rivers State much better than he met it.
He noted that the state has returned to its former Garden City status, as many facilities such as Pleasure Park, beautification of roundabouts, recreational grounds, gardens, amusement parks, among others have been constructed by the present administration, adding that the renovation of traditional rulers’ secretariat with modern facilities and the ongoing construction of judges quarters and other ongoing projects have marked him out as the first among equals.
The monarch, while citing Oyigbo as one of the local government areas that has benefitted from the present administration in terms of development, pointed out that Oyigbo has all the time supported him to achieve the NEW Rivers Vision and will continue to do so, as long as his administration lasts, but appealed to Governor Wike to do more for Oyigbo people in view of its strategic importance to the economy of the state.
While congratulating him on his landslide victory at the polls, the royal father prayed God to continue to guide and protect him and his family as he moves into his second term to give the state the much-needed development.
