Kano Pillars’ veteran striker, Gambo Muhammad has expressed delight over his first goal of the season.
The marksman was last the score sheet during Pillas’ 2-0 win against Abia Warriors on Wednesday in an NPFL matchday 10 game in Kano.
Speaking to the league’s official website, Gambo stated that he is happy to have made a good statement of himself after being shut out of the first-team owing to injuries and the impressive form of other strikers.
“First of all I want to thank our technical crew for finding me worthy to be part of the starting line-up.
“This is my third full appearance since the inception of the current league season. Thank God I made a mark by scoring a very vital goal and most importantly we won the game.
“Last season I had few opportunities. Now that I have the nod from the coaching crew,” the 30-year-old forward added.
“It is for me to revive the prolific nature in my game to enable me score more goals and I strongly believe that my goal here against Abia Warriors has opened an account for more goal”, Gambo said.
