Monarch Mourns Robinson
As the people of Orashi and other prominent Nigerians continue to grieve the demise of the Eze Ekpeye Logbo of Ekpeyeland, Eze Robinson O. Robinson, a two-time Chairman of Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers and the Oba (Eze Ogba) of Ogba land, Sir Chukwumela Nnam Obi 11 says the deceased was a quintessential monarch, statesman, and lover of people whose wise counsel was still needed at the present critical moment in the nation’s political metamorphosis.
In a statement in Omoku, Oba Obi 11 said “the image and profile of this towering man of inspiring carriage stood tall like a magnificent Colosus, traversing the throbbing firmament of his calling, with determination, courage, vision, selfless service, and love for God and humankind”.
Describing Robinson’s exit as unfortunate and painful, the Eze Ogba expressed “profound feeling of somberness and nostalgia as the royal titan was a dependable friend, a reliable brother, and a jewel of inestimable value to the Orashi region and the traditional institution in Nigeria”.
He urged the people of Ekpeye Kingdom to take solace in the fact that Eze Robinson acquitted himself creditably as a monarch for which he “will continue to retain a special place in all our hearts”.
Oba Obi 11 prayed God to grant the deceased’s soul eternal repose.
