VCs Hail Elevation Of Don To Professor
Vice Chancellors of Rivers State University, Prof Blessing Didia and Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, Prof Ozo-Mekuri Ndimele have commended Dr Isaac Zeb-Obipi for his elevation to the rank of a Professor.
Prof Didia and Ndimele, while speaking at a thanksgiving service in honour of Zeb-Obipi at Calvary Baptist Church, Port Harcourt said the Okrika-born academic was worth his new rank.
The Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State University said the Dean of Students Affairs had displayed hardwork and commitment in his activities as an academic and administrator.
On his part, Vice Chancellor of the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education said Zeb-Obipi is a hardworking academic who is ready to sacrifice at any time.
Prof Ndimele recalled how the newly elevated professor helped in developing the Department of Business Management in the state-owned university.
The Vice Chancellor said of Zeb-Obipi, “he helped us to make the school to stand out in publishing articles and the articles were adjudged the best”.
He maintained that the elevation of the Dean of Students Affairs in the Rivers State University was by dint of hardwork, as he had helped the institution in various ways.
Speaking to newsmen after the church service, the newly elevated professor thanked all who honoured him and the university authorities for recognising his input over the years.
Zeb-Obipi advised young people to always remain focused and put their hope in God always to achieve success.
“The young generation should learn that hardwork pays. Professors are not made, but make themselves”, he said.
