Nasarawa United Defeats New Comers, Kastina United
Nasarawa United beat
the newly crowned NNL Champions, Katsina United 2-1 in a pre-season friendly played in Jos last Saturday.
Nassarawa United, who have lost almost their entire first-team from last season, showed sign of making a statement in the new season with new players showing sign of promising as ‘The Solid Miners’ were the better team throughout this friendly.
The likes of Bature Yaro, Ifeanyi Nweke and Esosa Igbinoba have all departed Nasarawa after the Lafia club failed to win this year’s Federation Cup
Nasarawa United chairman Isaac Danladi said: “We have replaced the players who have gone to other clubs with quality and I am glad that some of them proved themselves today (vs Katsina United).
“But we are still in the market to buy more players to beef up this squad.”
