Rivers Sets New Standard For School Labs, Hostels …As Wike Praises Work At BMGS
The Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike says the construction of hostels, laboratories and libraries have been programmed to achieve the vision of his administration for the state.
He made the remarks while inspecting ongoing school rehabilitation works at the Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Bori, in Khana Local Government Area, at the weekend.
Wike explained that: “I am happy with the quality of work at the hostels and laboratories in this school. Our desire is to develop a boarding system in line with our promise to the people of Rivers State.
“Yesterday, I was at the Government Girls Secondary School, Rumuokwuta, Obio/Akpor Local Government Area. Today, we are here to inspect the quality of work. I am satisfied with what has been done so far,” Wike said.
He expressed satisfaction with the level of work at the Birabi Memorial Grammar School, Bori, saying that the hostel and laboratory projects in the school are progressing as scheduled.
The governor also stated that the on-going Saakpenwa-Bori Road has advanced in line with the specifications approved for the project.
Wike spoke on Friday after inspecting the two projects in company of top government officials of the state government.
He said that the Birabi Memorial Grammar School was one of the pilot schools selected for the introduction of boarding school education in the state.
The governor commended Ogoni people for supporting the contractors to deliver on the key projects.
He said: “People are anxious for development, and I am happy that my administration is working hard to meet the expectations of the people.”
