Forgery: NAF Nabs Six
The Nigerian Air Force, yesterday, said it arrested six applicants over alleged impersonation and falsification of documents during its ongoing screening of candidates for enlistment into the force.
The Chairman, 2016 Nigerian Air Force Recruitment Board, Air Cmdr. Charles Oghomwen, said at a news briefing in Kaduna, Kaduna State, that those arrested included four males and two females.
He said that the suspects would be handed over to the police for proper investigation and prosecution.
“We have observed the alarming trend of impersonation, forgery, falsification of documents, certificate racketeering and false claims.
“Signing Attestation Forms, Guardian Consent Form and Guarantor Forms of persons of questionable characters constitutes an offence”, Oghomwen said.
According to him, the Nigerian Air Force has zero tolerance for fraud and would deal with anyone caught appropriately.
Oghomwen disclosed that 4,148 applicants are undergoing screening for enlistment into the Air Force.
