Resident Engineers Urged To Supervise Projects
The Rivers State Gov
ernment has charged all Chief Resident Engineers in the Ministry of Works to boost their mandate delivery of project sites under their supervision in order to attain the vision of the present administration.
Addressing chief resident engineers of the ministry during a quarterly meeting, the Commissioner of Works, Engineer Kevin K. Wachukwu, said consistent and proper supervision of projects will go a long way to boost delivery of project sites to attain the set-goal of the ministry.
The Commissioner further tasked all ‘resident engineers assigned to various sites to be on ground to supervise their projects in order to be abreast of happenings on sites.
He stated that in a bid to ascertain accurate report of each site, all chief resident engineers must provide progress report of each site and photographs to the ministry”.
“All Resident Engineers assigned to various sites should ensure that they are on ground to supervise the projects. Negligence will not be condoned from any defaulting engineer”, he said.
According to him most of the on-going projects are marked for commissioning as part of the achievement of the present administration’s one year in office.
In another development, Engineer Wachukwu has called on residents of Ogoloma Street in Oroworukwo Town and Oromenike Community to cooperate with government and contractors handling construction of their roads to ensure the projects are delivered as scheduled.
