Bapep also called for regular immunization programme against polio, tuberculosis, measles and whooping cough, while women must go for regular cancer screening.
The Gynecologist thanked the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt District 9140 for its people-oriented programmes, and stressed the need for the club to ensure that the health awareness programme was taken to the nooks and crannies of the state.
Also speaking, the President of the Club, Rotarian Ann Azuoma Angaka, said that the media day was an annual event by the club to celebrate the media’s contributions to the growth of the club.
She said that the health awareness programme was part of the Club’s programme to create awareness on maternal and infant health, stressing that the club has also organised series of programmes for the people.
The Rotary President said that the Club will continue to pursue programmes that will improve the living conditions of the people.
