LG Boss Promises Cash Rewards For Cleanest Staff Quarters

mittee Chairman of Degema Local Government Area of Rivers State, Mr Tonye Tyger, has promised cash rewards for the cleanest staff quarters in Degema Consulate.
Mr Tyger made this promise while monitoring last month’s environmental sanitation exercise in Degema Consulate, headquarter of the local government.
The council boss expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of the people for the sanitation exercise and advised them to continue to do so in subsequent exercises.
He also instructed that defaulters arrested during the exercise by a combined term of security and health officials would be made to participate in the cleanup exercise within the Degema Consulate and warned them against further flouting of the order on restriction of movement during sanitation hours.
The council boss also called on the people to always keep their premises clean by clearing the drains and cutting of grasses around their homes. He also urged them to be law-abiding and report any issue of insecurity to security agencies in the area and assured them that his administration would ensure the security of lives and property, while providing the dividends of good governance in the area.
