RSG Tasks Corp Members On Responsibility
The Rivers State Government has sworn-in the Batch ‘B’ members of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), at the permanent orientation camp, Nonwa-Gham in Tai Local Government Area of the State. In an address presented at the ceremony, the state Governor represented by the Permanent Secretary, Special Service Bureau in the Office of the Secretary to the State Government, Dr George Nweke, charged the corps members to be responsible and focused in order to achieve their dreams.
Nweke congratulated them for successfully completing their course of study which qualified them for the call up for national service. He told them that) the orientation course is to prepare them for the challenges they are likely to face in their service to their fatherland and advised them to lay a solid foundation for a successful, fruitful and rewarding service year.
Nweke also urged the youths corp members to avail themselves of the wonderful, but rare opportunity to prove themselves as worthy ambassadors and make positive impact in society. He wished them a successful and rewarding orientation as he declared open the Batch “B’ (Stream 1) 2015 Orientation Course.
Speaking earlier, the coordinator NYSC Rivers State Mrs Ngozi Dorathy Nwatarali said NYSC orientation course is the launching pad for the one year national Service to enable corp members know their roles, understand the objective of the scheme and equip them with leadership skills.
