36 Ships Expected At Lagos Ports
No fewer than 36 ships loaded with various products are expected to arrive at the ports in Lagos, the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) said in Lagos.
The NPA made this known through its daily publication, the ‘Shipping Position,’ which was made available to newsmen in Lagos.
It said the ships were being expected to berth at the ports from March 20 to April 7.
According to the NPA, 14 of the ships would sail into the ports with containers, while 11 others are expected to come in laden with petroleum products.
The petroleum products include base oil, petrol, kerosene, diesel and aviation fuel.
Other products being expected as disclosed by the NPA include general cargo and food products.
The food products which are to come in seven ships include bulk sugar, buckwheat and frozen fish, while four ships would bring in general cargo, according to the NPA.
Meanwhile, the NPA said 12 ships had already arrived at the Lagos ports with food and petroleum products.
It said that the petroleum products include kerosene, petrol and aviation fuel, while the food products include rice in bags and soya beans.
