Oginigba Monarch Tasks New Committee Members On Service
The Paramount Ruler of
Oginigba community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State, Eze G. B. Odum, has called on new members of Ogbakor Ama-eli Oginigba to render selfless service to the community with a view to moving the area forward, saying, it is only by so doing that they would justify their appointment into the committee.
Eze Odum, who gave the charge during the inauguration of members of the committee at his palace last Friday indicated that the Ogbakor Ama-eli Oginigba was the second highest administrative organ in the community, stressing that if the members failed to discharge their duties diligently, the community would at the end of the day be adversely affected.
While further urging the members to be above board in the discharge of their duties, Eze Odum stressed the need for them to serve the community within the dictates of their conscience.
Members of the committee include Chief Christopher Chindah, chairman, Chief Richard Dike, vice chairman, Mr Ebenezer Echeonwu, secretary and Snr Apostle Bright Chindah, treasurer.
Others are Mr Chukwunonye Echeonwu, PRO, Chief Collins Odum, Mr Kenneth Amadi, Chief Emeka Amadi and Mr Stanford Weli.
In his acceptance speech, chairman of the committee, Chief Christopher Chindah thanked the monarch and the Eze-in-council for their appointment, and promised to work for the development of the community.
Also speaking, the chairman of Ogonigba CDC, Mr Martins Chindah expressed pleasure over the calibre of persons appointment into the committee, and assured that both the CDC and Ogbakor Ama-eli would work together for the betterment of the community.
