Taraba Draw Boosts Nembe Survival Battle
Nembe City
midfielder Vincent Pere Kipu has declared that his team’s 1-1 draw with FC Taraba in Jalingo Sunday is a big boost and step in right direction for their survival battle.
Kipu, who previously played in Oman, said the result would further boost their morale as they would fight the battle to survive the drop till the last game of the season.
“I told you we are going there for a favourable result and we achieved it. The draw is just a step towards our survival battle,” he said.
“The survival battle is still alive and we are going to fight till the last game of the season.”
Emmanuel Egesi put Nembe City in front before Saviour Fidelis scored from the penalty spot to equalise.
However, Nembe City still remains bottom of the table with 23 points from 24 games.
