Aviation Minister To Engage Professionals
The Minister of Avia
tion, Mr Osita Chidoka, said last week that he would carry professionals along in his efforts to take the nation’s aviation sector to greater heights.
Chidoka said this when the Gov. Isa Yuguda of Bauchi State, paid him a courtesy visit in Abuja.
He said the management of the ministry was determined to ensure effective implementation of the aviation master plan, including remodeling and expanding of airports nationwide.
The minister said professionals in the sector had roles to play in the present administration’s desire to ensure that the sector competed favourably with its peers worldwide.
He said that he would take critical look at the aviation sector master plan with a view to ensuring its faithful implementation.
Chidoka also said he would tap into the experience of past aviation ministers during his tenure in the ministry.
“I will make sure that I involve professionals in the aviation sector and relevant stakeholders, including the former Minister of Aviation, Malam Isa yaguda, to achieve the aviation master plan.
Earlier, Yuguda commended Chidoka for his appointment and promised to make his wealth of knowledge as a former minister available to Chidoka if need be.
