IRS Airlines Crashes In Niger Republic, Crew Survive
A Folker 100 belonging to IRS airlines last Saturday night crashed in the Republic of Niger.
General Manager, Corporate Affairs of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Mr Fan Ndubuoke, confirmed the incident to our correspondent in Lagos yesterday.
He said that the plane crashed at about 8.00 p.m. on its way back to Kano, after completing a C-Check.
The general manager said that the aircraft lost contact at Ganla in Niger Republic, adding that Niamey air control tower had been informed.
Ndubuoke noted that the aircraft, with registration number 5NSIK, was carrying two crew members on board.
He however said the two crew members survived the crash.
