Commissioner Highlights Importance Of Sports

sioner for Youths and Sports, Mr Farouq Alao, has urged residents to engage in sporting activities to prevent illness.
Alao, who was represented by Alhaji Raheem Fatai, gave the advice in Ibadan during the 4th and 1st Sports and Athletics Competition of Qiblah Schools in Ibadan.
He said that the role of sporting activities in physical and mental development of human beings could not be over- emphasised.
The commissioner said that sporting activities helped to reduce fat in the body, stressing that too much fat could endanger the system.
Alhaji Muniru Ademola, Proprietor of Qiblah Primary and Secondary Schools, said that education was beyond the four walls of the class room and urged students to indulge in sporting activities.
Ademola said that this would develop them both physically and mentally.
He said that the school organised the competition to develop the students physically and mentally.
