NFF Budgets N2bn For World Cup
Nigeria has made a budget of N2billion and reverted to the discarded bonus structure of $10 000 per player for win as the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) seek to motivate the players to perform at the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
According to figures from the NFF’s budget defence at the House of Representatives on Monday, the new, graduated World Cup structure will see each player earn $10 000 for a win in their group games, $12 000 for a round of 16 win and $15 000 for a quarter-final win.
For the semi-final each player will get $20 000 for a win and if they go all the way to make history and win the World Cup, the NFF have budgeted $30 000 per player.
Their daily camp allowance has also been jacked up from $100 per day to $200 per day.
The entire World Cup budget, according to NFF sources, comes to N2 billion.
