Assembly Confirms Commissioner Nominee
The Edo State House of Assembly has confirmed Mr Didi Adodo as a commissioner following his nomination by Governor Adams Oshiomhole.
During the confirmation process, the Chairman, Rules, Business and Government House Committee, Mr Philip Shaibu, said the commissioner-nominee was educationally qualified to be confirmed.
Shaibu said that Adodo was currently the Special Adviser on Special Duties to Gov. Oshiomhole, recalling that the nominee was once a commissioner in the state.
He, therefore, urged the House to confirm Adodo.
Earlier, the House received a letter from the governor requesting the House approval to re-present the 2014 Appropriation Bill earlier scheduled to hold on December10.
The letter, which was signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Prof. Julius Ihonvbere, requested the House to approve the presentation of the budget on December 11.
The Speaker, Uyi Igbe, urged members to be punctual to receive the bill.
