The member representing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief Andrew Uchendu, has blamed the current travails of the Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, on the activities of some disgruntled Ikwerre politicians.
Speaking shortly after being conferred with an Award by the Ndele Archdeacanry of the Diocese of Ikwerre Anglican Communion yesterday, Chief Uchendu also urged the Ikwerres to ask these disgruntled sons what Amaechi had done wrong.
The three term House of Representatives member, also said that despite the antics of the opposition, Governor Amaechi would complete his constitutional required tenure of two terms.
Meanwhile, the Rivers State Governor Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has restated that his government will not share Rivers money with anybody.
Speaking at the Awards/Fund raising ceremony organised by the Ndele Archdeaconry of the Diocese of Ikwerr, Rt. Hon. Amaechi who was represented by Special Adviser on Information Communication/Technology (ICT), Mr. Goodlife Nmekini, said that Government would continue to provide a conducive environment for both the rich and poor in the state.
The Governor commended the Ndele Archdeaconry for the award.
The Chairman of the ceremony planning committee, Hon. Lucky Worlu said that apart from the Awards, the ceremony was also to raise funds for the 2014 Synod of the Diocese.
Hon. Worlu who is also the Board Member 1 of Rivers State Universal Basic education (UBE) said that Governor Amaechi was particularly shortlisted for the Award because of his level of investment in the community.
He listed the achievements of the Governor in the Community to include, the construction of Agba Ndele road, electrification of Ndele as well as the construction of health centres and model primary schools.
Hon. Worlu also said that the Governor has also empowered so many sons and daughters of Agba Ndele a situation that is reflecting on the economy of the community.
