RIVLEAF Flays Sponsors Of Amaechi’s Presidential Posters
President of Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation(RIVLEAF),Hon. Wele Alex Wele, says those pasting 2015 presidential posters of Governor Chibuike Amaechi in the state are mischief makers who are looking for recognition.
He made the assertion while inaugurating RIVLEAF in Ikwerre Local Government Area of the state last Saturday at Ozuoha community.
Rather than being pulled down, Wele stressed that Governor Amaechi would continue to be stronger and focused everyday.
“We will stand by Governor Amaechi because he is a man that has made Ikwerre proud”, ‘’ Wele declared.
The RIVLEAF president explained that the body provides grassroot structure for the governor to reach out to the local people through transparent leadership and good governance.
Wele, therefore, called on Ikwerre people, especially Ozuoha community to continue to support Ikwerre Local Government chapter of RIVLEAF, and to ensure that RIVLEAF grows stronger.
Also, former two- term Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Area and Commissioner in the Rivers State Civil Service Commission, Hon. Kerian Wobodo has charged the people to support the governor in all his dealings.
Wobodo gave the charge while addressing people of the area during the inauguration of Rivers Leadership Advancement Foundation(RIVLEAF) at Ozuoha Community last Monday.
Hon Wobodo reiterated his commitment to the administration of Governor Amaechi, positing that the people of Ozuoha had benefitted from the administration, and challenged anyone from the area who shared a contrary view to make his case.
He charged Ikwerre people not to relent in giving support to the administration of Governor Chibuike Amaechi despite the current political crisis.
“ Ozuoha community is a community that Governor Amaechi has liberated, we have schools, good roads and model health centres,’’ Wobodo submitted.
He observed that the people of Ozuoha had seen what good leadership and governance was all about in the Amaechi-led administration, urging them not to lose sight but to continue to keep faith in the Governor Amaechi -led administration.
Similarly, Chairman of RIVLEAF in Ikwerre Local Government Area, Comrade Elechi Ikendah said the inauguration was done as part of sensitisation process and to sustain the leadership quality of the governor.
He charged the new executive of the body to keep faith with set goals and remain strong for the governor at all times.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
