IGSDA Storms ONELGA

Grassroots Sports Development Association, IGSDA is set to storm Omoku, the headquarter of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local government area in furtherance of its tentacles towards the development and promotion of grassroots sports programmes.
According to the president and founder of the association, Prince Mich Ogunu, GSDA would be in Omoku next week to inaugurate the executive committee of the LGA’s chapter which has Mr Chima Enyiche as chairman, Mr Augustine Chukwukere as Technical committee Secretary and Mr Austine Ordu as chapter secretary.
However, the major programme of the association will be the grassroots talent hunt scheduled for the College of Education, Technical, Omoku field where over 3,000 youngsters are expected to showcase their talents for discovery.
Events to be on show include football, chess, basketball, wresting, swimming, tennis, scrabble, special sports and track & field events.
Nominees of Abua/Odual, Ahoda West and Ahoada East shall be in attendance while, youths of Omoku are to turn up their numbers.
It would be recalled that Rivers State and PHALGA Chapters were inaugurated six months ago at the Board room of the state sports council at the Alfred Diette Spiff Sports Complex, Port Harcourt.
