PWFL: NFF Postpones Week 19 Matches
The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF), has postponed the week 19 fixtures of the on-going 2013 Professional Women Football League.
The assistant coach of Rivers Angels who announced this said the postponement was to an in-house protest by members of NFF board recently.
According to him Rivers Angels FC of Port Harcourt week 19 fixtures have been shifted to 28th of this month due to the protest in the glass house.
As at press time the reason for the protest was yet to be known.
Meanwhile, Rivers Angels FC has qualified for the 2013 Super-six play-off and also the first six clubs to feature in the 2014 football season.
“We are comfortable in our group now, we have qualified among the first six to play for the next league and also for the super six play-off this season” Ogbondah said.
He however, said that his expectation of the week 19 match against Ibom Queens of Akwa-Ibom is to win and secure the points at stake.
Coach Ogbondah, stated that the match would be the last for the 2013 league season.
It would be recalled that the Angels thrashed Tewo Queens of 5-0 last Sunday in Ibadan.
The Angels would be on 38 points from 18 matches played so far.
