Examination For Perm Secs Holds Today
Qualification examination for appointment to comrades the positions of Permanent Secretaries in the Rivers State Public Service will hold on Friday, June 7, 2013.
According to a statement from the office of the Head of Service and signed by the Permanent Secretary, Service Welfare, Mr Lambert Ekwueme, the examination, which would be conducted by officials from the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), would hold at the Main Bowl of the Alfred Diete-Spiff Civic Centre, Moscow Road, Port Harcourt at 9 o’clock in the morning. It further stated that only those who have served as substantive directors for five years and above are qualified to sit for the examination.
Those who fall within the category and aspire to be appointed to the position of Permanent Secretaries in the State Public Service are advised to attend and on time.
It would be recalled that a two-day preparatory refresher course for Directors in the state public service was organised recently to acquaint them of what to expect at the examination which is now policy for the appointment of permanent secretaries.
