… Wants RSG To Work With Opposition
The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Rivers State, has called on the state and local governments to extend hands of fellowship to opposition political parties to promote development in the state.
State Chairman of the Party, Prince Princewill Enyi who stated this in an interview with The Tide noted that the measures were necessary because the state government must interact with other political parties in the state if it wanted to achieve its goal of developing the state.
According to him,” if the present administration wants to succeed, it has to involve the opposition parties irrespective of tribal and political differences for the development of our state.”
He argued that such interaction would only be possible through cooperations with the opposition parties in the country.
On the security, the opposition chairman said time had come for the government to be proactive in handling the security situation by giving the necessary support to the security agencies.
Enyi who condemned the killing of All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) Colleague Pastor Julius Nwonfu said government’s moral and financial support to the security agencies would enable them meet the expectation of the people in terms of security and ensuring peace and development.

APC Unveils New NWC At National Convention
Delegates at the convention, held at the Eagle Square, also produced a new national working committee (NWC) through a consensus arrangement endorsed by stakeholders.
Dr Ben Nwoye was named deputy national chairman (south), replacing Mr Emma Eneukwu, following consultations within the party.
Sources within the party said the decision was influenced by zoning considerations and consultations among party leaders, with Mr Peter Mbah, Enugu State governor, playing a significant role in ensuring Dr Nwoye’s inclusion.
In his acceptance speech, Prof. Yilwatda said his re-election was a call to greater service and pledged commitment to unity within the ruling party.
“We are ready to serve, ready to lead, and we are ready to build the party, together with the nation,” he said.
He added that the new leadership would not “fail or falter” in carrying out its responsibilities.
President Bola Tinubu, Vice-President Kashim Shettima, governors, members of the national assembly, and other party leaders graced the convention.
