GM Assures On Partnership With Baptist Church
The Rivers State Newspaper Corporation says it is ready to partner with churches and other religious organisation to serve humanity better.
The General Manager, Mr. Celestine Ogolo said this, Tuesday when members of the First Baptist Church, Port Harcourt visited the Corporation and stated, church and the media had important role to play in the growth of society.
The General Manager noted that the management of The Tide was working to dedicate a page to church messages.
He urged the Church to pray for the nation, adding that Christendom is under siege as a result of several bomb attacks by terrorist sects.
He congratulated the First Baptist Church on their 90th Anniversary celebration and the completion of the multi million naira ultra modern Church building in Port Harcourt, explaining that this will strengthen the Church.
Earlier, the Chairman of the Anniversary Planning Committee, Deacon Aderemi Adeoye, said they were at The Tide as part of activities to mark the 90th Anniversary of the Church, adding that the First Baptist Church has given birth to many Churches in Rivers State.
According to him, the week long activities will feature, symposium, visitations to communities.
