Foundation Awards Undergraduate Scholarship To 28 Orphans
The Lucky Worluh Foundation has awarded scholarships to 28 undergraduate orphans of Rivers origin,
Speaking during the ceremony at the St. Peters Church Ndele in the Emohua Local Government Area, the Executive Director of the Foundation, Hon. Lucky Worluh said that the gesture was part of his gesture towards the development of the society.
Hon. Worluh who is the Board member 1 of the Rivers State Universal Basic Education Board (RSUBEB) said that the gesture would helped the beneficiaries to complete the programme.
According to him, the programme is to support the orphans to realise their educational ambition.
He further said that the beneficiaries were also counseled on the right type of courses to undertake in the University.
He further said that the Foundation has initiated for help the teachers programme to assist in the training of teachers in the state while further partnering with the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt to provide free medical care programme to the people.
Other programmes according to him includes, construction of boreholes for the Omofo Ndele Community as well as the fencing of the St. Peters Church Ndele.
Meanwhile, the Board member 1 Rivers State Universal Basic Education, Hon. Lucky Worluh has described the alleged stealing of computer sets at the St. Andrews Model Primary School Diobu as an act of sabotage.
