The Rector of Emmanuel Anglican Church Okoro-nu Odo Deanery, Diocese of Niger Delta North, Ven. (Dr) Isreal O. Omosioni, has advised Christians to live righteous and upright life to enable them earn the Kingdom of God.
The Rector gave the charge Friday while delivering his sermon during the funeral service of Late Chief Godfrey Nwanele Njiowhor at Rumuagholu, Obio/Akpor local government area.
Taking his reading from the Holy Bible, Hebrew, chapter 9 verse 27, Ven Omosioni noted that living a sinful life was bad enough saying that everyman would be individually accountable for his actions because as a man soweth, so shall he reap.
He said that late Pa Godfrey Nwanele Njiowhor who died at the age of 85 years lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
According to him, late Godfrey Njiowhor died in the service of the lord; he was dedicated to the church, honest, God-fearing and ardent follower of Christ till his departure to the great beyond.
In a vote of thanks, the Chief mourner who is also the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, Sir Promise Njowhor described his late father as a disciplinarian to both his children, family members and acquaintances; this trait, he said earned him the acronym “Ghadaffi.”
