S’Africa’s January Manufacturing Output Hits 2.4 %
South Africa’s manufacturing output grew by 2.4 per cent year-on-year in volume terms in January, unchanged from December, Statistics South Africa said on Thursday.
Economists in a media survey expected year-on-year output to nudge up by 2.5 per cent.
On a month-on-month basis, production in volume terms grew by a seasonally adjusted 1.7 per cent.
It expanded by 0.4 per cent in the three months to January compared with the previous three months.
