Cleric Urges Christians, Politicians’ Synergy
In these troubled times, Christians have once again, been reminded to renew their faith in God as the process of seeking God’s face in time of tribulation cannot be left to political leaders alone.
In fact, the General Overseer of Royal House of Grace International Church, Port Harcourt Apostle Zilly Aggrey, who made the call observed that hard times, in whatever ramification, be it economic, political or social, must occur to test the faith of Christians.
Speaking at Choba during the ninth anniversary celebration of the Goodness Land Parish of his church, Apostle Aggrey congratulated the parish priest, Pastor Solomon Nyorele on the strides so far recorded by the parish adding that such progress was possible because of abiding faith in God as the major path toward solving our earthly problems. He used the opportunity to thank Rivers State governor, Rt Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for his magnanimity in donating two luxurious buses to the women wing of the Royal House of Grace International Church and prayed for God’s abundant blessing on him.
Besides, Apostle Aggrey lauded Amaechi’s leadership style of bringing development to all irrespective of political learning and urged other leaders to emulate him, while calling on Rivers people to co-operate with him.
Speaking, Pastor Soloman Nyorele called on Christians faithful to live exemplary lives worthy of emulation in order to reduce the incidence of crime in the country. Other men of God who graced the occasion include Rev Kenneth Efeuku, Pastor (Dr) Austin Bassey, among others.
