NCF Awaits Approval To Camp Players
The Nigeria Chess Federation (NCF) says it will commence camping of players for the All Africa Games as soon as the National Sports Commission (NSC) gives approval.
“We are waiting for the NSC to give us more details on where we are going for camping, Rachael Dappa, a NCF arbiter, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Tuesday.
Dappa said that 24 selected players would be informed of the camp venue as soon as the NSC gave authorisation.
According to her, the first phase of NCF trials for selection of players for the Games was successful. They ended on Saturday.
She said that 12 out of the 24 players selected for camping, comprising six men and six women, would eventually make the list for the Maputo Games.
