Nwuke Lauds PDP Members For Successful Primaries
The out-going Rivers State Commissioner for Commerce and Industry and the PDP flag, bearer for Etche/Omuma federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Prince Ogbonna Nwuke, has expressed gratitude to delegates and other party members for his emergence in the just-concluded PDP primaries.
Prince Nwuke stated this during a meeting with party members at Okehi, the headquarters of Etche Local Government Area, at the weekend.
He said he was overwhelmed by the sacrifices made by other aspirants who indicated interest in the same position but later accepted that he should fly the flag of the party in the forthcoming National Assembly election.
He commended them for their sense of maturity and goodwill and assured the people of Etche that he would not let them down.
The PDP candidate for Etche/Omuma Federal Constituency also called on the people of Etche Ethnic Nationality who are of voting age to go and register in the on-going voters registration exercise to enable them choose their leaders in the forthcoming elections.
He commended Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for various developmental projects being executed in Etche, that every ward in Etche, assuring that every ward in Etche could feel the presence of the Amaechi administration.
In his speech, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Special Projects, Chief Okey Amadi stressed the need for political leaders to work in unity and make sacrifices for the overall good of the people.
Also speaking, a one-time chairman of Etche Local Government Council, Mr. Nnamdi Okere expressed satisfaction with the spirit of cooperation and understanding among PDP stalwarts in Etche, describing it as a positive and welcome development in the political history of Etche land.
