Mercedes Launches Tourism Bus To Nigeria
In its bid to strengthen its position in the nation’s road travel business, German giant auto makers, Mercedes Benz, has introduced the 2010 Tourism bus to Nigeria.
The vehicle which belongs in the luxury bus segment would be inaugurated May, 28 by West Star, Mercedes Benz representative in Nigeria.
In a statement made available to newsmen, WestStar’s Managing Director, Mr. Mirko Plath, said the Tourism was an extremely durable bus which boasts improved ergonomics and exceptional refinement that ensures greater ride comfort and safe comfortable road holding.
He said the interior boasts of the overhead control panel has been conveniently placed within reach adding that it allows passengers to freely adjust the ventilation, lightening and volume.
According to Plath “the bus has been designed with the passengers in mind. The person who travels a great deal by road and wants to travel in comfort and style. With the new Tourism, we have taken an extra step to ensure that we satisfy all end users by putting in place a state of the art platform with the latest in safety technology and reduced fuel consumption.
He maintained that travelers can also look forward to a more spacious luggage compartment as well as more room for light refreshments saying. “the new bus now contains a larger refrigerator which holds up to 65 litres”.
He also revealed that the bus, which has the new optimised front axle for comfortability offers a wide range of stylish urban electronic entertainment systems with 1×1-inch televisions and virtual matrix sound system.
Plath stated that officials from Mercedes Benz would be flying into the country from Germany to inaugurate the tourism adding that Mercedes Benz has been into the supply of the bus to more than 50 countries around the world.
