NSYJP Zonal Co-ordinator Bags International Award
The South South Zonal coordinator of National Support for Yar’Adua Goodluck Presidency (NSYJP), Dr. Enoch Onyeche has added another feather to his cap following the award to him of an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Public Administration by the Evangel Christian University United States of America (USA).
Beside the award, Dr. Onyeche was equally elected as a fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Supervision on Leadership as well as a Vice President of the Institute.
Both events took place in Lagos on the 7th and 24th October 2009 respectively.
Meanwhile, the Pacific Western University in the United States of America is also honouring the NSYP South South coordinator with a Honorary Doctorate Degree in International Law and Diplomacy.
The event holds on the 28th of November 2009 at Kaduna.
Dr. Onyeche who is also the Rivers State chairman of the Nigerian Institute of Security and Vice President Institute of Supervision and Leadership in Nigeria has so far bagged seven honorary Doctorate Degrees from various universities across the world and not less than 25 Fellows of various order and well over 100 honours by various institutes, both locally and internationally.
Reacting to the awards in an interview with newsmen in Port Harcourt, Dr. Onyeche described the development as a big surprise, stressing that the situation has now challenged him to continue to impact positively on the lives of Nigerians and humanity in general.
He used the occasion to advise incoming generations to be focused, think positively all the time while also cultivating the habit of hard work.
Dr.Onyeche also used the occasion to congratulate Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi for the successful celebration of two years in office, describing him as a transformational leader of our time and urged all to support him.

Technology Key to Nigeria’s Socio-Economic Development, Says Computer Scientist
Dr. Legborsi Emmanuel, former state Chairman of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS), has emphasized that technology is the sure way for Nigeria’s socio-economic development.
He made this assertion while speaking with newsmen at the sideline of 118th inaugural lecture series of Rivers State University (RSU) held in port Harcourt, wednesday.
He stressed that the lecture, which focused on emerging technology and its impact on the socio-economic development of the country, aligns with the NCS’s economic focus.
He highlighted the importance of building an economy driven by technology, citing the success of the Rivers State Smart Economy policy as an example.
The computer scientist emphasized the need for innovation and doing things differently, asserting that “technology is the only way out” for Nigeria’s development. He praised the lecturer, Professor Mathias Daniel, for exploring the applications of technology in various sectors, including agriculture, industry, transport, and socio-economics.
Dr. Emmanuel underscores the critical role technology plays in driving socio-economic growth and development in Nigeria by leveraging technology, the country can unlock new opportunities and address pressing challenges.
