Commissioner Plans To Re-organise Petroleum Monitoring Team
The Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Dr. George Dawari George is to re-organise the petroleum products distribution monitoring team.
Dr. George gave the indication recently during a meeting he held with members of the monitoring team in his office.
He said that though he would not dissolve the team, he would not hesitate to disengage any member found wanting, saying that there is also need to increase the present 67 members team.
The commissioner who read the riot act to the members, stressed his zero tolerance for bribery and corruption.
Dr. George promised to pay the arrears of allowances owed them, adding that adequate logistics would be provided to enhance their operations, and that their co-operation would be highly needed.
He urged the members to put all misunderstandings in the past behind them and work assiduously as a team in order to achieve set goals.
In his response, the Chairman of the monitoring team, Mr. Gogo Fiberesima thanked the commissioner for the interactive session and promised to ensure unity in the team.
The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Dr. George Nmolu in his closing remarks enjoined the members to work together as a team and thanked the commissioner for calling for the interactive session.
