RSG, Thailand Move To Promote Cultural, Economic Ties
The Rivers State Government and the Republic of Thailand have opened discussions designed to promote better cultural and economic ties between them.
This is part of the economic diplomacy launched by the Rivers State Ministry of Commerce and Industry to open up the Rivers economy for· further investments.
The Commissioner for Commerce and Industry, Prince Ogbonna Nwuke, who has just had talks with the Minister Counsellor in charge of Commerce in the Thai Embassy, Mr. Boon Intiratana disclosed that the Thai authorities would soon extend an invitation to Rivers officials to visit their country.
The Commissioner described the discussions between both sides as “open and frank” and said cooperation would be in the area of agriculture, tourism and manufacturing.
Prince Nwuke said that the motive for the ongoing economic diplomacy being initiated by his ministry was to speedily attract investments and promote the Public -Private Partnership initiative by Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
