Govt To Complete Rumuepirikon-Rumuolumeni Road In 2015
The Rivers State Gov
ernment has assured that the Rumuepirikon-Rumuolumeni Road would be completed before the end of the present administration in the first quarter of 2015.
The Commissioner for Works, Hon Victor Giadom gave the assurance in an interview with newsmen in his office in Port Harcourt, Thursday.
Giadom said work on the road is now on the fast lane, and noted that when completed, commuters and motorists plying that road would have cause to smile.
He hinted that the roads drains and median have already been completed while the filling has progressed up to St Michael’s end of the road.
“The entire drains on Rumuolumeni road have been completed, filling has progressed up to St Michael’s Junction while the median from Wimpey Road by Ikwerre road have been completed,” he said.
The commissioner noted that the binder course from Ikwerre Road to Ada George Road junction have been completed, adding that it would be put into use to the benefit of the people of the state before 2015.
Giadon further said that work is in progress on D/Line roads, Tam David-West Boulevard junction – Airport road, Ogbogoro and Aluu roads.
