IPMAN Moves To Sanitise Zonal Excos
The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria (IPMAN) has initiated move to sanitise the activities of its zonal executive.
The IPMAN has therefore ordered all its unit executives to stop collecting money from members for the insurance/welfare fund.
This order was contained in a statement jointly signed on Friday in Abeokuta by the union’s zonal chairman, Mr. Olumide Ogunmade and secretary, Mr. Amos Idowu.
The statement read, “As a result of the incessant crisis resulting from the mismanagement of the insurance/welfare fund, we wish to inform you that no IPMAN unit executive should be involved in the collection/management of the welfare/insurance fund with immediate effect.”
The union added that any unit of the association that wanted to embark on insurance scheme should use registered insurance brokers approved by all zonal members and it should be voluntary.
The Chairman, IPMAN, Mosimi Depot, Sagamu, Ogun State, Mr. Adeleke Bada, said there had been various controversies over the alleged mismanagement of the insurance/welfare fund.
