Perm Sec Hails RSSDA’s Dev Strides
The Permanent Secretary,
Ministry of Information and Communications, Mrs Cordelia Peterside, has commended the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA), for its giant strides in sustainable development of the state.
Speaking during the 2013 annual report presentation last Friday in Port Harcourt, Mrs Peterside said that RSSDA had impacted so much on the lives of the people.
According to her, millions of Rivers people have benefited in one way or the other from the agency.
Meanwhile the Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency has restated its commitment to continue to provide services in the state.
The Executive Director of the agency, Mr Noble Pepple who disclosed this at a press briefing in Port Harcourt, also said that the agency would continue to give support to the less-privileged in the society.
“In 2013, we continued to uphold our values and tradition for providing support to the under-privileged in society during the Christmas festivities”.
Mr Pepple also said that foodstuff; clothings, toiletries and other items worth N2.67 million were given to the Global Foundation for the Orphand, Nkpolu, our Saviour’s Orphanage Home, Rumuokoro and David Bassey Ikpeme Foundation and Homes, Eagle Island, all in Port Harcourt.
He further said that a workshop was organided for nursing and pregnant mothers on the importance of breast feeding.
