Confab: NASS Awaits Jonathan’s Brief
The National Assembly
is yet to be officially aware of suggestions by the just concluded National Conference as the Presidency is yet to communicate the House. This was disclosed by a member of the House of representative, Dr Dawari George in an interview with The Tide during a recent book lunch in Port Harcourt.
Dr George who represents Asari Toru/Akuku-Trou Federal Constituency said that the both chambers of the legislature are yet to be officially intimated of the outcome of the conference.
“I’m sure that those who initiated it also know how to see through the proposal that has been made.
“But for us, we have not yet received any communications from the president in respect of the confab.”
He said that when the report finally gets to the National Assembly, the Assembly will work out ways of dealing with it.
Earlier, during the lunching of the book entitled. “in Christianity, Some Issues That Matters”, Dr George who was the chairman of the occasion said that the book would inspire more people to write more books to the glory of God.
He also called on the younger generations to cultivate the habit of reading as more and more youths now prefer the internet to reading.
“Sadly our generation hardly reads books, and not relying on the internet I want to thank you sir, because it is no easy to sit and write book at this age.
“It is my hope and prayer that this book will inspire and challenge other on issue that will uplift our faith, he said.
Earlier the Author of the book, Deacon K.A. Alofun said that for one not to go wrong in life, Christ must have a place in that person.
Deacon Alafun described the book as a product of inspiration.
